WEEK 9: A BUST, BUT NOT TOTALLY

Greetings,

WEEK 9, I mean, vacay in Mexico was AWESOME!!!!

It was a bust in terms of training...but not totally. I ran 3 times while on vacation but only 2 of those days fell during WEEK 9.

  • Monday: 3 miles on the threadmill

  • Tuesday: 1 mile + 20 min on the stationary bike

  • And that's it...

Unfortunately, I only ran/cross trained 2 out of 7 days, as opposed to my usual 6 out of 7 days. I didn't beat myself up over it, but I definitely felt it when I picked back up with my 5 AM Monday morning run the day after I returned.

It's OK, because I'm determined to get back on track. There's absolutely nothing wrong with taking time off for vacation. Therefore, I don't feel guilty about it. But I am worried about being set back in my training, so I'll make sure to put more effort into working out more during my next vacation.

Injury/Health Report: No injuries or health concerns to report, knock on wood.

Tech Report: Nothing new to report here either, but I'm looking forward to coming across some cool things during the Philadelphia Distance Run Expo.

Adios
